Giambattista Valli is a Italian Central Saint Martins graduate, fashion designer who launched his fashion label Giamba at Milan Fashion Week last year that runs along side his self titled Giambattista Valli line.

His intention with Giamba is to create a collection that will be a more playful, intimate and sexy. I feel as if he has achieved his goal after looking into his original lines, which are so unlike his Giamba style. I have mainly been looking into his Spring 2015 Ready to wear collection, featured on Vogue runway online. I love the use of large dramatic prints to create interesting outlines and shapes and the way he gets the print placement so right on the dresses to give the most dramatic effect. I really like the idea of creating large repeat patterns in a range of scales, that I can then add bursts of colour through print or stitch, wherever I’d like across the pattern. The collection is most definitely fun and he is a designer that I’d like to explore again in the future.

After searching online for more information into the Giamba fashion collection I was disappointed not to find out the designers stance on ethical and environmental awareness.
