Rajasthan Trip – Week 2

Day 10, Today we heading off on a long day out with Sheikh travelling a few hours out of Udaipur. Whilst en route we stopped off at a small village to see how the country people live in, which was very interesting as Sheikh told us so much about their traditions and houses.

Our second stop about 2 and a half hours from Udaipur was the Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is a hightop fort dating back from the 15th century. I thoroughly enjoyed the quick tour around the grounds and hearing about the history.

Our final stop for the day was the incredible Ranakpur Jain Temple about 45 minutes away from the Kumbhalgarh Fort. From the moment we arrived I was fascinated by the architecture and grander of the temple compared to others that we have visited on the trip. I spent a great deal of time in the temple just walking around listening to the extensive history of the place through the audio guide. Definitely work the long drive to get to, just to see it in person.
